Guntur Kaaram is an action drama film released in 2024 in Telugu by Indian filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas. It is produced by S. Radha Krishna under the banner of Haarika & Hassine Creations. Mahesh Babu, Jagapathi Babu, Sunil, Rao Ramesh, Sreeleela, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prakash Raj, and Ramya Krishna are among the actors who appear in it.

Since this is Mahesh’s 28th film in which he plays the lead, the movie was first formally announced in May 2021 under the working title SSMB28. The actual title was then revealed in May 2023. Principal photography began in September 2022 and was completed by late December 2023, with the majority of the shots being taken in Hyderabad. Thaman S is responsible for the soundtrack and score of the movie, while Manoj Paramahamsa handled the photography and Naveen Nooli handled the editing.

On January 12, 2024, Guntur Kaaram was launched on a global cinematic distribution platform in time for Sankranti. Critics gave Trivikram’s direction, writing, storyline, Thaman’s background score, and soundtrack low to mixed reviews, however Mahesh Babu’s performance was highly appreciated. Box office tracker Sacnilk reports that it is coming up as an average grosser.

About Director:

Trivikram Srinivas, an Indian film director and screenwriter who works in Telugu cinema, was born Akella Naga Srinivasa Sarma on November 7, 1971. He is frequently credited with using his pen name Trivikram and is also known by the nicknames Guruji and 3V. He is among the highest-paid filmmakers in the film industry in South India. He has won two Filmfare Awards for Best Director and six state Nandi Awards for Best Dialogue Writer. He was given the BN Reddy National Award in 2015 in recognition of his work in Indian film.

After earning a gold medal in university and a master’s degree in nuclear physics, Trivikram originally intended to work in the entertainment business. However, his passion for movies and Telugu literature inspired him to pursue a career as a screenwriter and then a director of motion pictures. He goes by the titles “Maatala Maantrikudu” and “Guruji” among Telugu speakers. His filmmaking style is distinguished by its clever and witty dialogue, lighthearted subject matter, action-packed repartee, mythological allusions, drama surrounding romance, the significance of women in society, and relationship problems. His films are renowned for incorporating Hindu philosophical concepts into mainstream popular cinema in certain instances.

He authored the dialogue for the Telugu-language feature film Nuvve Kavali in 2000, which took home the National Film Award for Best Feature Film. Nuvve Nuvve, his Telugu directorial debut, took home the Nandi Award for Best Feature Film (Silver) in 2002.
