Chidambaram is the writer and director of the 2024 Indian Malayalam-language survival thriller Manjummel Boys, which is produced by Parava Films. Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Balu Varghese, Ganapathi S. Poduval, Lal Jr., Deepak Parambol, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Arun Kurian, Khalid Rahman, Chandu Salimkumar, Shebin Benson, and Vishnu Reghu are among the ensemble cast members that star in the movie. The film centers on a group of friends from a tiny village called Manjummel near Kochi who choose to have a vacation in Kodaikanal. It is based on a true incident from 2006.

On February 22, 2024, the movie was launched in theaters in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Both reviewers and viewers praised the picture greatly. It broke multiple box office records and became the first Malayalam film to make more than ₹200 crore. It also became the third highest earning Indian film of 2024 and the highest grossing Malayalam film ever, beating the record established by 2018. The dubbed Telugu version is scheduled for release on April 6, 2024.

Plot : A group of pals from a Kochi arts club travel to the neighboring state of Tamil Nadu’s Kodaikanal in 2006. As they visit Kodaikanal, one of the buddies tells them about Guna Caves, the location of the film Gunaa, before they depart. After arriving in Guna Caves intoxicated, high, and joyous, the pals choose to explore the caves’ forbidden regions on their own in defiance of Dominic, a tour guide,’s advice. Despite indications of a potential threat, the companions proceed with their exploration. Chidambaram S. Poduval, an Indian film director and writer who works in Malayalam cinema, is better known by his professional name, Chidambaram.
Career:
Poduval is well-known for Jan.E.Man (2021), his feature debut. In Payyanur, he was born. In addition, he is the older brother of actor Ganapathi, who collaborated with him on Jan.E.Man. He previously assisted Jayaraj as a director and collaborated with Rajeev Ravi and K. U. Mohanan on cinematography.
