Waltair Veerayya is an action movie in the Indian language of Telugu that was produced by Mythri Movie Makers and directed by Bobby Kolli in 2023. Alongside Ravi Teja, Shruti Haasan, Catherine Tresa, Prakash Raj, Bobby Simha, Rajendra Prasad, and Vennela Kishore, Chiranjeevi plays the title role in the movie. Principal photography for the movie began in December 2021, with locations including Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, and Malaysia. The film was first announced in August 2021. Devi Sri Prasad wrote the soundtrack, while Niranjan Devaramane handled the editing and Arthur A. Wilson handled the photography.

On January 13, 2023, Waltair Veerayya was released on the same weekend as Sankranti and garnered favorable reviews from critics. The movie turned a profit at the box office, making it the third highest-grossing Telugu movie of 2023.

About Director:

Kolli Santosh Ravindra is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works mainly in Telugu cinema. He is also known by his stage names, Bobby, K. S. Ravindra, and Bobby Kolli. In the Santosham Film Awards, he took up the Best Debut Director trophy for Power (2014).
India’s Guntur is the birthplace and upbringing of Kolli Santosh Ravindra. Following his B. Com graduation, Ravindra joined writer Chinna Krishna to begin his film career in 2003. He then worked for a number of directors, such as Gopichand Malineni and Dasaradh. In 2014, Ravindra made his feature film directing debut, Power, starring Ravi Teja.

Sardaar Gabbar Singh, his 2016 film directed and starring Pawan Kalyan, was a box office bomb. With three different parts, Jr. NTR’s 2017 film Jai Lava Kusa was a box office hit, earning over ₹100 crore.
Naga Chaitanya and Venkatesh starred in Ravindra’s Venky Mama in 2019. Even with its mediocre reviews, the movie turned a profit. “Ravindra tries to milk the real life family bond between Venkatesh and Chaitanya in Venky Mama, which heavily relies on the camaraderie between its lead actors,” wrote Karthik Kumar of Hindustan Times.
