S. Shankar is the director of the upcoming Telugu political action thriller Game Changer, which is produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations. Leading an ensemble cast that includes Kiara Advani, Anjali, S. J. Suryah, Jayaram, Sunil, Srikanth, Samuthirakani, and Nassar, is Ram Charan, who plays three parts in the movie.

Since this is Charan’s fifteenth feature film as the lead, the movie was first publicly announced in February 2021 under the working title RC15. The actual title was revealed in March 2023. Principal photography started in October 2021 and is still going on in a few legs on occasion at the now. Hyderabad, New Zealand, Andhra Pradesh, Mumbai, and Chandigarh are among the places used for filming. Shameer Muhammad handled the film’s editing, Tirru handled the photography, and Thaman S. provided the soundtrack.

About Director:

Indian filmmaker Shankar Shanmugam, born August 17, 1963, is mostly known for his work in Tamil cinema. He is sometimes identified as S. Shankar or by his moniker Shankar. He is among India’s most successful and well-paid film directors. His movies usually tackle modern-day societal issues, vigilante themes, and the application of cutting-edge VFX and technology. Throughout his career, he has received six Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, four Filmfare Award South, and one National Film Award.

His first feature film, Gentleman (1993), earned him the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Director in addition to the Filmfare Best Director Award. He frequently works with A. R. Rahman, the composer; the two have worked on over 11 films together. Two of his socially and politically charged films, Indian (1996) and Mudhalvan (1999), were tremendously successful box office earners. India also submitted both films for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, but neither received a nomination. M. G. R. University bestowed an honorary doctorate upon him.

With Vikram playing three different roles (Ambi, Remo, and Anniyan), his psychological thriller Anniyan was released in 2005 to great critical and financial acclaim. Shankar and Rajinikanth collaborated on Sivaji (2007), the priciest Indian movie at the time, following Anniyan. For the movie, he received a record remuneration of ₹100 million. It went on to become the biggest grossing movie of the year and among the highest grossing Tamil films at the time. He worked with Rajinikanth once more on the science fiction movie Enthiran (2010), which at the time was the highest earning Tamil film ever. Its sequel, 2.0 (2018), is currently the sixth most grossing movie in India and the tenth highest grossing movie in the world. Moreover, it is the highest-grossing Indian film of 2018.
