Aishwarya Rajinikanth is the director of the 2024 Indian Tamil-language sports action film Lal Salaam, which is produced by Lyca Productions’ Subaskaran Allirajah. Alongside Vikranth and Vishnu Vishal as the primary protagonists, Rajinikanth plays a lengthy cameo in the movie. The ensemble supporting cast also includes Vignesh, Livingston, Senthil, Jeevitha, K. S. Ravikumar, and Thambi Ramaiah.
In November 2022, the movie’s official announcement was made. In March 2023, principal photography got underway. Filming was place intermittently over many legs in Pondicherry, Chennai, Mumbai, and other locations, and it was completed by early August 2023. A. R. Rahman composed the soundtrack for the movie, while B. Pravin Baaskar handled the editing and Vishnu Rangasamy took care of the photography.
On February 9, 2024, Lal Salaam had its theatrical debut in theaters. Critics gave the movie mediocre reviews, and it was a box office disaster.

About Director:

Indian playback singer and film director Aishwarya Rajinikanth is involved in Tamil movies. She was previously married to actor Dhanush and is the older daughter of actors Rajinikanth and Latha Rajinikanth. With the 2012 release of 3, she directed her first feature film.
Actor Rajinikanth and Latha Rangachari are the parents of Aishwarya. Soundarya, her younger sister, is also employed in the Tamil film industry.
Career:
Aishwarya started her career in the Tamil film business as a playback vocalist in Parthy Bhaskar’s unreleased film Ramanaa. In November 2000, Deva wrote the song. Alongside composer and actor Silambarasan, she sang “Natpe Natpe” from D. Imman’s Whistle (2003) soundtrack, which became her debut single.

Alongside actors Sangeetha and Jeeva, she served as a judge for the third season of STAR Vijay’s dance competition Jodi Number One. After appearing in the movie Whistle with Silambarasan, she went on to become a playback vocalist for the song “Un Mela Aasadhan” from the movie Aayirathil Oruvan, for which she also served as assistant director.
Aishwarya was chosen in August of 2016 to serve as India’s UN Women goodwill ambassador.
